This is the long debate
about who is a better driver? Men or women? We cannot say this accurately, but
lets see the facts about the driving trends and habits in both genders.
Men are likely to take more
risks, the studies have shown that the men show a relatively less cautious
behavior than the women. The behaviors like driving higher than the speed limit
or closer to the other cars, ignore wearing seat belts and most importantly
driving while intoxicated are some behaviors which are commonly found in men.
The men take more risk while taking a turn and they usually take less time when
parking, although they have taken the driving training from best driving school in Sydney.
But on the other hand, we
cannot say anything about how someone drives does not be necessarily equal to
how well he drives. The men are considered to be more proficient than the women
in a certain driving task. Whereas this slighter edge cannot translate into the
men’s better driving records as well. The most known kinds of accidents men get
into are generally due to the riskier behavior. One study has shown that the
men are more than three times as ticketed for being an “aggressive driver” than
the women. On the other hand, more than 25% of the men are likely to be at
fault in an accident.
The perception has a little
edge here, despite the research, many psychologists claim that it's really
difficult to say which gender is truly innately a better driver. The men are
considered to be better drivers than women other than their driving records,
and as they are simply more confident in their driving skills as they have
perceived as the best drivers. Similarly, the stereotype which says that women
are the weaker drivers have caused a negative effect on their driving.
Men may have responsibility
for more accidents than women, but this gap is now catching up. Now more women
drive and their driver more than men ever before, which is causing an increase
record of women's behavior which cause an unfortunate consequence of an
increase in speeding, aggressive driving, violation of law and fatal crashes as
well.
Women
have not always the better of it in the study, but researcher showed that a
perfectly
cautious old woman turns out to be at greater risk for the automotive
fatality than does the 16 years old boy. The stereotype says that the 16 years
old boy after taking a driver training from Affordable Driving school would
have considered to be crazy on the road, but the elderly woman will be
extremely slow and safe. That still may be true because the researcher has
shown that the elderly woman’s increased in the fatality risk would have more
to do with her advanced age and frailer body.
And finally the swinging
pendulum back to men for a moment, the study has shown that motorcycle riders
had a death rate of around 30 times more than that of the car drivers. Now the
men between the age of 21 to 24 years who ride their bikes between 12 a.m. to 4
a.m. which reduce the risk for about 45,000 times then usual.
